Rating 3 out of 5
As a STEM student in the honors college at UNLV, I find the campus to be incredibly diverse with an active social life. While the surrounding area may not be the best, the campus offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to suit every interest, along with numerous restaurants nearby.
The academic environment varies, with most honors college professors being excellent and having significantly contributed to my learning experience. Many biology professors have also been great, though there are some departments, like chemistry, where the teaching quality has been less consistent.
UNLV provides fast and polite student services, and offers a wide variety of classes, majors, and minors, although the hospitality program receives the most funding. The campus also features good study spaces, extensive tutoring services, and assignment assistance available every weekday. Additionally, there are ample research opportunities and valuable networking experiences to be found on campus.

I absolutely love being on campus and being involved in all the extracurricular activities they hold during the week and during the weekend. The academics are great and the professors are very nice!
The atmosphere of the school is great as well as being able to connect with other students, although the area around the school isn't the best and I hope one day they can figure that out especially the areas around the apartments. It would make a huge difference to add more of a college street like other colleges. I know we have a lot of potential to make it something more. That does mean construction and organizing with the county in general. The reason why I say this is because college brings lots of work to our hotels as well as a lot of the activities we have held. More students would enjoy coming here and staying if they had more safety around UNLV. If we have money to spend on making Vegas Vegas we can make UNLV more of a college from outside parts like Tropicana and Maryland :))

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) offers a dynamic campus environment with diverse academic programs and strong support for student success. I appreciated the vibrant community, access to cutting-edge facilities, and opportunities for hands-on learning. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, making classes engaging. However, I would like to see improvements in campus parking and the expansion of dining options to accommodate students with various dietary preferences. Overall, UNLV fosters personal and academic growth, and with a few adjustments, it could further enhance the student experience.
