How can I retrieve my child’s Google classroom password?

Credentials for all students are as follows:

  • Username is the students first name and last name:
  • Example: jane.doe@student.psjaisd.us
  • Password is the student’s ID followed by the first 3 letters of their last name with the first letter capitalized.
  • Example: 133755Doe

My child can’t login using his credentials. What can I do?

What if my child doesn’t have a computer or mobile device?

The site is mobile friendly so parents and students can access it from any device, including a phone. If this is not possible, our teachers and campus administrators will be working with families like yours to provide grade-level activities. We recommend that you reach out to your child’s teacher to let them know. If you haven’t received communication from his or her school, we would be happy to connect you.

Please understand that this is an unprecedented situation and we are doing the best we can to serve our students.

Why isn’t PSJA distributing packets?

If you need an instructional packet, please fill out the following request form before Monday, April 6th at Midnight. We will reach out to you once we have the packets ready for distribution. To request a packet, CLICK HERE.

When will the district open again?

Our district leaders are closely monitoring our country’s situation and have determined that all PSJA schools are to remain close until further notice. Thank you!

Is the district providing any breakfast or lunch meals?

The district is providing Meals-on-the-Go Wednesdays & Fridays from 9:00 am to Noon at the Central Kitchen/Transportation Complex on Business 83 in San Juan.

What if I don’t have transportation to pick-up meals for my children? Are there any other options?

Unfortunately, this is our only option for meal distribution. If any other options become available, we will make sure to let our families know. Thank you.

What if teachers have now created Google Classrooms and are giving students different assignments than what parents had already received through the district e-learning site?

The general work is for those that don't have that access to their teachers via Google Classroom. We recommend, if possible, for students to do the Google Classroom work first and the other items if they wish as reinforcement. Keep constant communication with your child’s teacher and follow their recommendation.

What happens to attendance and grades?

The state is supporting us by waiving attendance during this time. This will not count against our students in any way.

Why is PSJA only distributing devices to certain students and not all?

We are doing our best to prioritize devices based on need. Those who received the first round of devices were high school students enrolled in South Texas College classes. This is phase one of our distribution, if we are able to distribute more, we will communicate this to our families.

Please know, the online learning site is mobile friendly, and can be accessed from any device, including a cell phone. If this is not possible, our teachers and campus administrators will be working with families to provide grade-level activities. We recommend that you reach out to your child’s teacher to let them know. If you haven’t received communication from their school, we would be happy to connect you.

I am unable to turn in my child’s coursework. Where and how can I turn them in?

If you are unable to submit completed classroom work or assignments, please keep these with you to be turned in when classes resume. Make sure assignments have their names and the date when they completed them. Thank you!

Are any PSJA Departments open?

All district departments are working remotely, if you need to get ahold of a certain department, please email customerservice@psjaisd.us.

Is my child required to complete the online instructional materials?

We ask that all children remain engaged and active learners during this time and ask that assignments be completed as much as possible. Please continue to communicate with your child’s teacher for assistance.

I forgot my Home Access Center Login and password. Plus, the school name does not appear on Clever login when I try to log in.

If you forgot your Home Access Center credentials, please send an email to datahelp@psjaisd.us. Include your name, child’s name, school, and student ID to expedite assistance. You may be asked questions to verify your identity.

School names on Clever may vary. Parents can try inputting the most used name of the school (example: Doedyns Elementary) or the complete name of the campus (example: John Doedyns Elementary) to see if it populates.
